Getting It Right.

The Patrol Y61 runs the 6x139.7 bolt pattern, and Dakar Forged produces a confirmed fitment for it: 17x8.5 with a 106.1mm wheel bore, available in -20, 0 and +25 offsets depending on model — the Gridlock in ET0 and +25, the Rally and Crawler in ET-20. For a desert-driven Y61 on 33s or 35s, ET0 is the balanced choice; ET-20 pushes the stance wider for stability and presence, while +25 keeps things tucked for a near-stock track.

Seventeen inches is the right diameter for this truck — maximum sidewall for airing down, full clearance over the Y61's brakes, and the tyre choice that GCC desert driving is actually built around.

The bolted lock ring is functional: it mechanically clamps the tyre bead so you can drop into single-digit pressures in the sand without rolling a bead — the reliability the Y61's whole reputation is built on, extended to the wheels.

Straight Answers

Fitment FAQ.

What bolt pattern is the Nissan Patrol Y61?

The Patrol Y61 uses a 6x139.7 bolt pattern (6x5.5"). Dakar Forged wheels for the Y61 are 17x8.5 in 6x139.7 with a 106.1mm bore — a confirmed fitment for the Y61 platform.

Do these wheels fit the newer Patrol Y62?

No. Although the Y62 shares the 6x139.7 pattern, the current 17x8.5 Dakar Forged range is not a Y62 fitment. If you drive a Y62, contact us through the quote form and we'll advise on availability.

What offset should I run on a Y61?

Offsets vary by model: the Gridlock comes in ET0 and +25, while the Rally and Crawler come in ET-20. ET0 is the balanced desert setup for 33–35-inch tyres; ET-20 gives a wider, more planted stance; +25 keeps the wheel tucked near stock track width.

Can I air down to low pressures in the sand on these wheels?

Yes — that's the point of a true beadlock. The bolted ring mechanically clamps the tyre bead, so single-digit pressures for dune driving don't risk separating the tyre from the wheel.
