Fitment Guide

Beadlocks For The Wrangler JL.

The JL is the world's default rock platform, and it rewards a proper beadlock more than any other vehicle here — because crawling is where single-digit tyre pressure stops being optional.

Fitment Notes

Getting It Right.

The Wrangler JL runs a 5x127 bolt pattern (5x5") with a 71.5mm hub bore, and the Dakar Forged JL fitment matches both exactly: 17x8.5, drilled 5x127, bored 71.5mm hub-centric — the wheel seats on the hub itself, not just the studs.

The -38 offset is a deliberate, aggressive spec. It pushes the wheel outboard for full tyre clearance at lock and maximum track width on off-camber terrain — the stance serious JL rock builds run. Expect the tyres to sit proud of the flares; plan trimming or aftermarket flares accordingly, and note that wider track increases steering feedback on the road.

On rock, the Crawler is the natural choice: open spokes clear debris and the hardened lock ring takes ledge strikes so the barrel doesn't. Aired down to 8–10 psi, a beadlocked 37 wraps terrain instead of bouncing off it.

Straight Answers

Fitment FAQ.

What bolt pattern is the Jeep Wrangler JL?

The Wrangler JL uses a 5x127 bolt pattern (5x5") with a 71.5mm hub bore. This carries over to the Gladiator JT, so the Dakar Forged JL fitment applies to the Gladiator as well.

What size and offset are Dakar Forged JL wheels?

17x8.5 with a -38 offset, drilled 5x127 and bored 71.5mm hub-centric. The -38 offset is an aggressive, wide-track spec — tyres will sit outboard of the factory flares.

Will 37s fit on this setup?

Yes, with appropriate lift (2.5 inches and up) and clearance work. The -38 offset gives the tyre room at full lock; flare coverage and trimming depend on your build. Send your setup through the quote form and we confirm before production.

How low can I air down with beadlocks on the rocks?

With a true mechanical beadlock, 8–10 psi is common for technical crawling. Without a beadlock, pressures that low risk rolling the tyre off the rim.
